The Ferrari F40 is a supercar produced by Italian carmaker Ferrari between 1987 and 1992. It succeeded the Ferrari 288 GTO, and was launched to celebrate the brand's fortieth anniversary. The ultimate creation of Enzo Ferrari, it was the fastest, most powerful and most expensive car in the history of the automobile. Eight examples of the Ferrari F40 Competizione were produced, with power ranging from 720 bhp to 900 bhp, weighing 1,050 kg and capable of a top speed of 370 km/h, accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds. The Frenchman Jean Alesi was one of its drivers.
