NOREV, the beginnings
In September 1945, the Véron brothers designed and marketed their first toy watches for children.
It was the Simca company, in the person of its President HT Pigozzi, who gave his approval for the production of the first NOREV miniature car in 1953.
The Citroën Traction, Ford Vedette, Panhard Dyna, Renault 4CV and Peugeot 203 followed very quickly.
The A NOREV factory opened in 1955.
In 1959, NOREV obtained the prestigious title of Winner of the Oscar for Out-of -Competition Toys and then, in 1963, the Gold Cup for French Good Taste.
In the 70s, NOREV expanded its ranges with the launch of the Jet-car, Mini-jet and Plastigam.
The NOREV B factory opened in 1970.
NOREV sponsors Jimmy Mieusset, European 2-litre champion in 1973 and French Hill Climb champion in 1971, 1972 and 1973.
NOREV will make this distinguished pilot its mascot.
A support which also touched Henri Pescarolo who raced his Surtees TS 19 in the colours of NOREV in 1976.
The same will apply to Jacques Lafitte (6), with the Ligier-Gitanes team.
NOREV collection
In 1986, Marc Fischer, Joseph Veron's nephew by marriage, took over the company.
He will direct it towards collector cars, to make NOREV “better than a miniature, a signature”.
Creation of the largest range of 2CVs in the world, i.e. more
of 40 different models, then the reproduction of the Tour de France cars .
Axel took over the company in 1998 and was joined by his brother in 2003.
For NOREV, this is the renewal of partnerships with car manufacturers as well as participation in booklet collections.
In 2004, the partnership with the Dakar began for the reproduction of participating vehicles.
That same year, NOREV opened its new headquarters in Vaulx-en-Velin.
In 2006, to celebrate its 60th Anniversary, NOREV carried out, in collaboration with Parotech, a major tuning project:
the 300C Norev which will be exhibited at the Paris Tuning Show and will win the prize for the most beautiful Tuning project in Europe at the Swiss Tuning Show.
