In 1976 Michèle Mouton was an Alpine driver who was beginning to make a name for herself. She began her fourth season of rallying with the iconic Monte Carlo. It was her first participation in the event and she finished a fine eleventh behind some of the big names in rallying at the time, including Munari, Waldegard, Darniche, Röhrl, Alen and Frequelin! A star was born!
