In order to support the troops during the Normandy landings on 6 June 1944, the commanding forces also arrived in France in jeep vehicles that were particularly well suited to fast, flexible mobility.

This miniature features the various decorations of a vehicle from the 1st Infantry Division, which was one of the first to land on the beaches of Normandy.

This model features all the decoration of the vehicle visible in the foreground of this period photograph.

On this model, the bonnet opens so that the engine can be seen, and the soft top is fixed.
