BMW 2002 Turbo Silver 1:18

The fastest car in the BMW 02 Series family was launched at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 1973: the legendary BMW 2002 turbo. Equipped with a turbocharger, the first in a sports car of this category, the already high-performance fuel-injected engine gained a further 40 bhp compared with the 2002 Tii. The BMW 2002 Turbo was claimed to have a top speed of over 210 km/h.

Launched during the oil crisis with a sulphurous reputation as a ?widow-maker?, its career was short-lived and the model remained fairly marginal.

Today, however, this model has become a legend among vintage BMW enthusiasts, and is a much sought-after collector's item.
