After Ferrari won the World Sports Car Championship in 1953, Enzo Ferrari decided to produce a limited series of spiders that would spearhead the Scuderia's bid for the world title.
These cars, called 375 PLUS, had a particularly powerful V12 engine of almost 5 litres developed by Aurelio Lampredi and bodywork by Pinin Farina.
The results lived up to expectations, with the car triumphing at Agadir, Silverstone and Le Mans. Its greatest victory, however, was won by Umberto Maglioli in the Carrera Panamericana.
