Con-Ferr Dune Buggy 1968 Orange Jet car 1:43
The dune buggy is a vehicle that embraces the californian spirit. It was invented and developed by surfer Bruce Meyers. He wanted a light, fun and accessible vehicle that people could take to the beach.
The reproduction shown here is a one-off customized by Con Ferr. In an orange-red paint, this is the best-known model, the one made famous by Steve McQueen in the 1968 film : The Thomas Crown Affair. The engine is now that of a Chevrolet Corvair, the headlights don't protrude from the body, the tires are wide and there is a wrap-around windshield. The mode car is fitted with suspension.
